Patrick’s entertaining but backward-thinking 1930s mindset
No Texas politician combines arrogance with ignorance more often or more entertainingly than Dan Patrick. His 1930s views on THC policy and its economic impact are so far out of step with the healthcare community, law enforcement, and mainstream Texans everywhere that he could have starred in the old Reefer Madness film.
If left up to Dan Patrick, the THC story will end badly for all Texans. He is making a fool of himself and a joke of what should be serious policy considerations by Texas lawmakers. The legality, regulation, and availability of THC for Texans requires serious consideration of healthcare policy and of our state’s economic well-being. Not idiotic, yet entertaining, press conferences.
