You may see pleasant campaign photos of Arlington City Council candidate Melody Fowler smiling, but the joke will be on Arlington families who care about their schools, city services, and basic rights if she is elected in the city run-off election on June 13th.
Melody Fowler is a full-blown MAGA Republican who is propped up by hyper-partisan MAGA leaders like Greg Abbott and backed by dangerously divisive organizations – one even certified as anti-government extremists by the Southern Poverty Law Center (which the hate group calls “an accomplishment of the highest order”.)

Melody Fowler has voted in every Republican Primary for 10+ years. Fowler’s most prominent public endorser is Greg Abbott, who is arguably the most partisan MAGA Republican governor in America. Abbott has fully submitted to Trump’s destructive MAGA agenda and abandoned Texas values to embrace Mar-A-Lago morality. Fowler is poised to be Abbott’s MAGA mouthpiece on the Arlington City Council.

Fowler not only has the backing of clearly Republican partisan groups like DFW Conservative Voters and Republican Women of Arlington, she has been endorsed by True Texas Project – a MAGA-run organization that spews White Nationalist rhetoric and hosted a seminar on the racist Great Replacement Theory.
True Texas Project leader, extremist Julie McCarty, blamed the motivation for the horrific mass shooting at an El Paso Walmart that killed 23 people on Hispanic immigration, saying “I don’t condone the actions, but I certainly understand where they came from.”

What Is the Threat to Arlington Families?
Electing Melody Fowler to the Arlington City Council puts a MAGA voice at the center of local public policy. Fowler will:
- Support Greg Abbott’s MAGA attack on Texas cities, destroying the ability of local voters to set priorities for themselves and protect city services from ideological attacks from MAGA leaders in Austin and in Washington.
- Continue the MAGA attack on public education, backing vouchers for private schools with funding taken from our local public schools.
