Abbott goes easy on an ICE thug, pedophiles, and killers
Today, Greg Abbott allowed a violent fugitive to be released onto Texas streets. Abbott’s decision to free the man could endanger Texans and, at the very least, allow the fugitive to flee the country and escape justice.
This is not the first time Greg Abbott has ignored Texans’ safety by going soft on prosecuting and punishing violent criminals. His latest reckless action sends a clear message that he is making Texas a sanctuary state for violent criminals
Abbott Refuses to Bring a Violent ICE Agent to Justice
Rogue ICE Agent Christian Castro faces assault and false reporting charges in Minnesota after he fired through the door of a home, shot a man in the leg, and then lied about the man attacking him with a snow shovel. Castro was arrested by Texas Rangers and detained by the Cameron County Sheriff on a nationwide warrant back in May. However, Greg Abbott refused to sign the extradition paperwork before the state’s 90-day detention limit expired. Officials say Castro discussed fleeing to Mexico to join his romantic partner once he was released.

Abbott knew the clock was running, and he still failed to act.
Abbott is Harboring Notorious Pedophile Ghislaine Maxwell in Texas
Convicted pedophile sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell is serving a 20 year federal sentence for helping Jeffrey Epstein traffic and sexually abuse underage girls. In 2025, Maxwell was transferred from a maximum-security prison in Florida to a cushy minimum-security facility in Bryan, Texas. Abbott calls himself tough on crime, yet he failed to lift a finger of objection or utter a word of protest when the Trump administration moved its most notorious pedophile into our state. Now Maxwell is sitting in dorm-room style housing getting pampered with mani-pedis and puppy therapy.
Abbott backed Paxton’s Sweetheart Deal with Dangerous Pedophile.
Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office agreed to a sweetheart plea deal with Waco attorney Adam Dean Hoffman who admitted to sexually abusing a minor. He spent 60 days in jail and was not required to register as a sex offender. Despite outrage and public condemnation from his own party, Greg Abbott went along with Paxton. He could have initiated his own investigation or he could have at least condemned Paxton’s horrible failure to keep the public safe from a dangerous sex offender.
Abbott Pardons Cold-blooded Killer, Daniel Perry.
Daniel Perry was sentenced to 25 years in prison after murdering Air Force veteran Garrett Foster during a 2020 protest in Austin. One day after a jury convicted Perry, Abbott ordered his appointed parole board to review the case. Court records released after Perry’s conviction showed a clear pattern of racism and violence, including saying that he “might go to Dallas to shoot looters.” In May of 2024, Abbott chose to override the jury’s verdict and set Perry free, granting him a full pardon along with restoration of his firearm rights. Foster’s long time partner put it best:
“With this pardon, the Governor has desecrated the life of a murdered Texan and US Air Force veteran, and impugned that jury’s just verdict. He has declared that Texans who hold political views that are different from his — and different from those in power — can be killed in this State with impunity.”

Abbott’s soft-on-violent-criminals pattern is impossible to ignore.
When he needs a talking point, Greg Abbott promises punishment and accountability. But when the crime – no matter how heinous and violent – benefits him politically, he takes the side of criminals. Abbott’s most recent action is a welcome mat for bad actors around the country. To escape justice, seek sanctuary in Texas.
A convicted killer gets a full pardon, a monstrous child predator sits lounging in a cushy hideaway, an admitted child abuser gets a slap on the wrist, and now a criminal ICE agent is set free to walk away to escape justice and put others in danger, all with help from Greg Abbott.
